About Procurebot
|
Procurebot or p-bot that reads as “pi bot” is a join effort of Industrial Engineers dedicated to e-Procurement,
and Artificial Intelligence programmers, in fact a team that complements industrial human expertise and intelligence
with Knowledge Management Artificial Intelligence tools and methodology to facilitate all e-procurement tasks.
Intag and its advanced Darwin-FIRST AI technology with was used to
“emulate” most e-procurement tasks in any industrial and commercial
environment, from small business to big corporations scenarios and then this
“engineering expertise package” was transferred to the p-bot. This
“engineering expertise package” was provided by Vivenco people. P-bot is a
sort of “anthropic algorithm” that enhances human engineering talent with an
Artificial Intelligence tool that has the capability of “learning as much as
possible” from experiences and evolving by itself accordingly. You may
imagine it as a “man-machine” system, where the “engineering talent” is
always present and associated to the AI procedures. The omnipresent “man” who
represents the actual “engineering talent” is the “Chief Editor”, a person, a
human entity belonging to the organization commissioned to perform a set of
procurement tasks, and the “machine” activity is depicted, registered,
tracked and controlled by the Desktop, an intelligent visual interface.
The “man” part of the p-bot solutions, is the Chief Editor
that takes care of the highest level decisions, making use of its human
gestalt judgment capability. However humans are rather slow and inefficient
for some tasks meanwhile the “machine” part, the agent, is on the contrary
highly efficient in those tasks. Agents work autonomously retrieving
digitalized data and intelligence from the Web and enabled huge data
reservoirs. Chief Editor communicates with “engineers” as usual but with
agent via the Desktop. Contrarily with common belief agents could be designed
to be more creative and objective than humans, opening new horizons, and they
are not bound for any type of prejudices as well meanwhile humans are good as
“critics”, making sound judgments. Intag and Vivenco offer to the
e-procurement people an advanced tool that “breaks for good” some long
lasting rules, where some crucial high skilled professional tasks such as
procurement, prices and technical requisitions, catalogs creation,
standardization and optimization are emulated by intelligent agents.
