| Does procurebot build by itself Catalogs? |
Definitively NOT. However it could behave as a crucial facilitator reducing Catalogs implementation times and costs significantly. To build a Catalog, for instance a Buyer Catalog, you need: a) a Catalog draft, a more or less set of ordered lists of the materials you need or at least a collection of Suppliers' Catalogs where to reference the materials you need; b) a Catalog Standard of Norms and Procedures you choose as a model, for instance ECCMA, e@class or other equivalent; c) a staff of human experts that know pretty well your needs from the procurement point of view; d) an advising entity that have the necessary know-how to build your Buyer Catalog/Sales Catalog under the selected standard frame; e) a set of programs and "utilities" of Knowledge Management to facilitate the tasks to be performed by c) and d) working together.
Procurebot could be successfully used as a facilitator that covers points c), and d) and as a communication tool with knowledge and computation aids generally offered by b) Standard Organizations.
